Phosphorite
A sedimentary rock rich in calcium phosphate, formed on upwelling continental shelves; the Moroccan Ouled Abdoun and Florida Bone Valley phosphates are the world's great shark-tooth and marine-reptile deposits and are mined for fertiliser.
