Trace fossil (ichnofossil)
Evidence of an organism's activity rather than its body: tracks, trails, burrows, borings, feeding traces.
Evidence of an organism's activity rather than its body: tracks, trails, burrows, borings, feeding traces. Trace fossils are named as ichnotaxa (Skolithos, Cruziana) independent of their makers.
