Spider conchs
Spider conchs (Lambis) are strombids with long, curved finger-like projections on the lip, sold as cheap decorative shells; Lambis chiragra and Lambis truncata are the large species. Complete unbroken 'fingers' set the grade. They are a good example for teaching the Strombidae alongside the CITES-listed queen conch.
