Cyphaspis

Spiny aulacopleurid

Cyphaspis is a small Devonian proetid from the Moroccan Anti-Atlas with a bulbous glabella, long genal spines and, in some species, a long axial spine on the thorax. Well-prepared examples 2–3 cm long are popular; the spines are delicate and are often rebuilt. Several Moroccan species remain undescribed.
