Mioplosus labracoides
Perch-like predator
Mioplosus labracoides is the elongate, bass-like predator of Fossil Lake, usually found alone rather than in schools, and often preserved with prey in its mouth. It is uncommon enough to command a premium over Knightia and Diplomystus. Look for its long body, single continuous dorsal fin and large mouth.
